Research

The Institute's claims rest on evidence, not assertion. Its research studies how belief forms when the signals people rely on can be manufactured. The foundational work is a cross-national experiment: 2,200 participants across the United States and European Union, using a factorial design to isolate how AI-generated political content shifts belief and how long that shift persists. The finding that anchors much of the Institute's writing is durability. Belief formed under synthetic conditions doesn't simply fade when the content stops. Research at the Institute is meant to be used, not shelved. Where findings bear on policy, they're written for people who make it.
